Headteacher Many, many thanks to everyone for making this year such a successful one for Ysgol Rhoscolyn. I would especially like to thank the staff for their support, commitment and hard work throughout the year, and to the parents who have helped us achieve so much – in gardening and landscaping, fundraising through the PTA, volunteering to work with our pupils and of course giving us a helping hand with extra chores. I hope everyone has a chance to relax and enjoy the summer holiday, and look forward to our new term on
September 4th, 2007.
It is with regret that we say goodbye to two members of staff this term, Mrs Eryl Evans is leaving for early retirement, and Miss Catrin Morris who is planning to further her career and attend teacher training college. We wish them the very best of health and good luck in the future.
We welcome Ms Sara Wyn Roberts as our new PPA teacher from September, and look forward to developing our new curriculum and providing exciting, new activities for next year.
Once again, happy holidays, and thank you all for your support during the year.
Sports Day
Congratulations, Ffraid on winning the House Cup this year – you certainly pulled together as a team! Many thanks to all the parents who spared their time to support us, and deepest apologies for forgetting the most important race of the day – the parents’ race - we’ve got your names down for next year! Thanks to the PTA for providing refreshments for parents, and to Ms Jacqui Short for the scrumptious apples!
Safe Internet Surfing
Congratulations, Aron and Matthew on coming third in the Surf Safe Pamphlet Design competition – your computer designed work certainly caught the judge’s eye!
Good Luck, Guto!
Best of luck, Guto during your forthcoming cricket matches with Eryri – such an achievement! You look very smart in your team whites.

What an end of term! Things seem to be getting busier and busier! We are grateful to our work experience students for their help these past weeks: Richard, Becky and Elen from Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern, Hannah and Natasha from Ysgol Gyfun Llangefni, Kim McHardy, Ysgol Friars, Corina Malone from Holyhead High School and Nia Efans from the University of Wales, Bangor.
Our new Nursery and Reception parents were invited on Thursday to hear Ms Anwen Owen, Cynnal introduce the Foundation Stage in Wales. It is proving to be an exciting stage in Ysgol Rhoscolyn’s progress. The Nursery newcomers were also welcomed to Miss Owen’s class for the morning.
